Hospitality/KP CARES

The Hospitality Committee organizes monthly staff breakfasts, lunches and other special events throughout the year. KP Cares acknowledges significant events and accomplishments of members of our KP Community. 

Teacher / Staff Appreciation

Organizes activities during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week in May and a teacher appreciation day in the Fall. 

KP Welcome Wagon Program 

A resource to welcome new families and answer questions about KP and the PTA. New families are connected with a “veteran” KP family. Check out the New Family Resources section of our website, especially the FAQ Page. 

Kindergarten Orientation

Each year KP hosts a Kindergarten Orientation in the spring to register new kindergartners. The PTA provides information about the school and PTA activities, offers refreshments, and sells KP spirit wear. The current Kindergarten classes will not have school on these days. 

Room parent committee

Coordinates activities across grades and classrooms associated with teacher support, class parties and teacher recognition. 

KP Eaglenet

Listserv for KP parents, teachers, administrators, and staff. Membership gives you the ability to send and receive school-related messages. Visit the EageNet Google Group to join. 

KP PTA Information Fair 

The PTA hosts an information fair on the Friday before school starts at the same time as the Open House (when kids meet their teachers). Information tables include: membership, directory, 8K, spirit wear, green team, after school activities, etc. 

KP PTA Meetings  

PTA meetings are generally the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm in the Media Center or on Zoom (or both!). At each meeting we discuss current events involving the school and offer informational programs. Refreshments are served. The PTA provides babysitting for potty-trained children ages 3 and up in the Overlook Room (staffed by 2 Bar-T professionals). 

KP PTA Newsletter  

Weekly email newsletter for parents, teachers, and staff with calendar updates and information on topics of interest to the KP community.  

School Directory  

Contact information for all families who wish to be included, plus class lists, PTA officers and committee chairs. One directory per family free of charge, additional copies available for a nominal fee; online version available to PTA members. 

KP Yearbook  

Available for purchase to all grades. Yearbook captures school photos and events from throughout the year. 

KP PTA Website  

Our website, www.kppta.org, includes news and announcements, PTA officers and committees, club & activity info, volunteer & membership forms, etc.
