Box Tops for Education
Sponsored by General Mills, this fundraising program provides cash for qualifying cereal and snack box tops. To participate, parents cut out specially marked box tops and send them to the KP box top repository located in the office.
Grocery Gift Cards Program
This program offers KP families and community members the opportunity to support KP by buying grocery gift cards that may be used at Giant and grocery certificates to be used at Shoppers Food Warehouse, Snyders and Starbucks. The PTA earns money because it purchases the cards and certificates in bulk at a discounted rate from the grocery store. Parents pay face value and then use the gift cards and certificates at the store to pay for groceries. The program coordinator promotes program and sells the gift cards and certificates.
eScrip
Kensington Parkwood PTA earns cash each time that a registered shopper shops at Safeway, Giant and other participating stores. There is no need to save any grocery receipts to participate in this program. Simply register with each store and designate Kensington Parkwood as the school that you wish to receive the benefit.

Kensington 8K Race, 2-Mile Challenge, and 1K Fun Run- Saturday, September 26 2009
This is an annual fall event with corporate and community sponsors as well as support from the Town of Kensington. The 8K is a competitive race on a certified course. There is also a 2-mile race, a 1K Fun Run and a post-race festival. KP staff and parents are involved in all coordination efforts including publicity, solicitation of sponsors, registration, and in race day events and logistics. This event is not only a fundraiser but also a wonderful opportunity to promote our town, our school, and physical fitness.
Sally Foster Gift-Wrap - 8/31-9/24,2009
The annual gift-wrap sale is a major KP fundraiser. High quality gift-wrap, note cards, and chocolates are sold and the profits are used to support PTA programs. Parent volunteer coordinates with vendor to provide sales packets for all KP students, tallies the orders and coordinates gift-wrap pick-up.
Scholastic Book Fair - November 2009
The Scholastic Book Fair is an annual fall event. It provides KP parents and members of the community with the opportunity to support the PTA and to expand their personal libraries with fun and educational books. The fair is held at the school for one week with day and evening hours. Parent volunteers schedule the function, provide set-up and sales support.
Engraved Bricks
For a $100 donation, your brick will be imprinted with your name or
message and placed within the school grounds. However, please note that
delivery and placement of your brick order will be dependent on level
of interest as we need a "minimum" number in order to process an order
