This committee works with the MCPS Department of Facilities Management and the school staff on capital improvement and special projects, like the fields of KP, and provides parents with important information.
Spring Maintenance is being done to the field (fertilizing, seeding, and aerifying). Maintenance of the field will be ongoing throughout the year to help maintain as healthy a turf cover as is possible.
The school had sod installed at the lower entrance to the playground/field area over spring break and thanks to the abundant rain, it is doing quite well. This will greatly improve that space and reduce the amount of dirt/mud being tracked into the school during recess.
